[Geez, someone is in a charming mood today. He's currently around the beach, watching a Dragonite, a Swablu and a Delibird fly around while a Milotic and a Gyarados are swimming.

If they even do that. [He sounds a little disgusted there.] Some of the officials I know don't care about their citizens, they just care about getting money in their pockets.

It takes much work, but a few can be persuaded for help if it advantages them in the long term. But their very presence would make anyone think that altruism is dead.

What can we say? Every government has a rotten scoundrel in them.

That's probably what makes it worse.

... Though, there are some good guys in there, just that they get overshadowed.

The people who cause trouble always seem to be the loudest. Politics only make that worse.

Most corrupt men just love to brag about the wealth they get from it.

At least they they rarely brag about their corruption itself.

They're at least smart enough not to want to get caught because of it.

From a few of them, that sort of intelligence is honestly rather surprising.

You don't have to be too smart to know that getting caught means you'll lose the luxury.

Some of the younger generations care little about those details.

It changes each time anyway--- You see how people act in a situation, you vow not to do the same thing, and you create your own way. Others see it, think the same thing and make their own way.

And if the people are lucky, they enjoy a few years of stability between those changes.

Wouldn't that be quite a grand life to live.

Everyone in my world would deserve quite a few decades of stability. Or harvests not too damaged by meteors.
