[Cecil's bedroom is currently extremely chaotic. Of course, any bedroom would be considered chaotic, if its contents were being packed up in a hurry by five Pokémon. Why isn't Cecil taking care of it himself, you ask? Because he's busy wrapping a Dratini egg in enough scarves to keep it warm in a blizzard.]

Everyone, I'm returning to Cherrygrove to meet up with Edward. If anyone has any deliveries to make in Violet or Cherrygrove, I can take care of them. I will also welcome any travelling partner.

[He almost turns off the Pokégear, but pauses. When he speaks, his voice sounds uncertain, hesitant.]

...Light. Bartz. Zidane. Squall. Do you think... Do you remember... [He shakes his head.] Nevermind. It's not important.

[He finally cuts off the feed.]

Team Rocket? Why were they interested in that pokemon in particular?

I don't know. The man is not very talkative, and he never volunteered more information.

Most of the locals are tight-lipped at best.

If the locals refuse to talk, I'll simply ask outworlders who were present at that time. At least they rarely mind sharing their knowledge.

It's in all of our best interest to share with and gain from knowledge each other. Anyone holding back must have a lot more to hide than everyone else.

But would they want to hide something from their home, or something from here? We cannot exactly trouble people for acts they committed in other worlds, if they've done nothing here.

True, but people are apt to judge others on past actions, even if they were committed in a different world. A lot of people who are used to keeping secrets are also very good at being tight-lipped around subjects that might reflect poorly on them.

Hopefully, the reason why Team Rocket was after the Slowpokes will not be counted as something that reflects poorly on the witnesses. I'd rather not have to interrogate people simply to sate my curiosity.

They were after Slowpokes? What would they want with those? Most are a bit slow, unless that was what Team Rocket was aiming for.

Unless they were after the Zubats. Or a source of fresh water. Or some tastefully decorative rocks. But they do call it the Slowpoke Well.

...I don't think they're quite smart enough as a whole to try to obtain a resource of fresh water. Maybe they're just Zubatty.

I couldn't help it. It was asking for it.

Then again, some of their names seem to be puns all by themselves. Gastly, Geodude...

Obviously, whoever came up for pokemon names has a love for language. At least this place is not without culture.

They appear to have some form of worship, too. I saw a shrine in the forest. I wonder if they have art somewhere?

What was the construction of the shrine like? Architecture in and of itself is an art.

It was much smaller than a building, closer to a large birdhouse. It was made out of wood, with a slanted red roof, from what I could tell when I brushed of the snow. There was a rope attached to both sides of the roof, with decorations hanging from it. It looked like nothing I've seen in my world.

It sound like something Japan would make.

A lot of this world could be said to be of his design.

Japan? Is that a friend of yours? Could he know more about this world? [Sadly not connecting this 'Japan' to the man with the yellow electric rat he met on his first day. This is why you should ask people their names, Cecil.]

If anyone should be here, it's him. He created a world like this back where we're from.

Is he the reason why some people knew about Pokémon before they arrived in Johto? If he created a world like this...

I'm pretty sure. A lot people in my world would have played the games that Japan made; they're extremely popular, and there's even a television show about pokemon. It's been translated into a lot of different languages, including my French.

Perhaps he somehow managed to see another part of this world, or one that is much like it. Some people seem to be able to do that.

He has a vastly different culture and background than I do. It's possible.
