[Cecil's bedroom is currently extremely chaotic. Of course, any bedroom would be considered chaotic, if its contents were being packed up in a hurry by five Pokémon. Why isn't Cecil taking care of it himself, you ask? Because he's busy wrapping a Dratini egg in enough scarves to keep it warm in a blizzard.]

Everyone, I'm returning to Cherrygrove to meet up with Edward. If anyone has any deliveries to make in Violet or Cherrygrove, I can take care of them. I will also welcome any travelling partner.

[He almost turns off the Pokégear, but pauses. When he speaks, his voice sounds uncertain, hesitant.]

...Light. Bartz. Zidane. Squall. Do you think... Do you remember... [He shakes his head.] Nevermind. It's not important.

[He finally cuts off the feed.]

Injured? How terrible! ...Was he injured when he arrived here?

He comes from a... particularly trying time. Luckily, Johto healed most of his wounds. Otherwise he would be bedridden for a few weeks.

I will be, I promise. I'll bring enough supplies to last me a full month, just in case.

I'm sorry to hear he comes from a difficult time. But it's good that he is at least partially healed. How bad are his injuries? He will be alright, won't he?

_{[Iris giggles.]} Don't do that! You'll be weighed down and then it really will take you a month to get there!

He seemed to still feel some pain, though he was able to move with little trouble. But I would not want him to aggravate his injuries.

Well, perhaps not quite for a full month. However, I need to bring enough supplies for two, since newcomers possess few funds.

I see...I'm sure having a friend at his side will ease his discomfort.

And with one of you being ill you'll need all the supplies you can get. It's a good think Flare evolved, else the journey would have been much more difficult.

I tried riding him around Azalea, these last few days. He shows much talent in avoiding frozen patches and tall boulders. He'll be helpful in the caves.

I wonder if Ronald will ever evolve...I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Growlithes are lucky. When they wish to evolve, they simply need to touch a Fire Stone. They can do so at their leisure, without worrying about their training.

That's true. But they grow so large when they evolve. I'm sure it takes some getting used to.

Flare seemed to have little trouble. But then again, we spent some time preparing for that day.

I know I would be very disoriented if I suddenly doubled in size! It's good that you prepared him for the change.

Considering some of the evolutions that can happen, I thought it best to ready him for any possible changes.

That's very wise of you! Maybe I should start getting Ronald ready!

Be certain he wants to evolve, first.

Children always have a phase where they want to become adults, with all the respect it supposedly implies.

_{[Iris smiles.]} And then, once they become adults, they often wish to become children again. Isn't that right?

They start missing the lack of responsibilities, the simple happiness playing brings... Even I feel nostalgic about it, sometimes.
