[Many objects are piling up in front of the Pokégear: food reserves, drinks, Potions of all kinds, enough Ice Heals to last a month, Pokéballs... Could someone be insane enough to brave the tempest?]

Squall, Suzuki, I'm leaving for Goldenrod; I need to buy a few items. Would you like me to bring you back anything? Oh, and Squall, a young lady was looking for you.

[Rosie appears, bearing a few Escape Ropes. She dumps them next to the pile before looking around for gloves.]

I'll try to defeat the Gym leader during my stay. Light, Firion, Bartz, Zidane, Miss Lenna, we could meet up at the Sudowoodo after that.

[But already he's paying more attention to his supplies than to his Pokégear. Avenger sighs and turns it off.]

[He laughs more.] I'm not that irresponsible, I promise. But I heard there were prizes, and if the odds seem good I might try it out once.

Mosey? What is its type? Something strong against Rock and Ground?

[She'll giggle a bit.] Oh, you're terrible! I almost believed it too. What sort of prizes did you see at the casino?

Mosey is my Houndoom...well, he technically belongs to Cloud, but I am looking after him. He is a fire and dark type, I believe.

I don't know what sorts there are, but I know you need a good winning streak to get them.

Cloud's...? I guess he never came to get it back, even when he reappeared, then. Is it a good type combination?

Only someone with a lot of luck would enjoy games like that.

No, he didn't, but....he did got to meet Mosey, again, even if it was a video meeting. [She nods her head.] A really good combination. He knows all types of fire and dark moves. Also, a really loyal and strong pokemon too. I am really happy to have him in my team. [Mosey will be giving Aerith a lick on her cheek. Excuse him, Cecil. It is kissy Aerith time.]

Well, this blizzard could be considered bad luck. Which means there must be good luck building up somewhere.

Perhaps they'll manage to meet in person next time. [He smiles.] He does look quite impressive and affectionate. He must be quite helpful during your travels.

Good luck, brave Santa! [ She winks and grins. ]

I shall do my very best to reach the city alive and find present for everyone! ...But what exactly is a Santa?

I hope you're right, Cecil. At the rate this is going, I really hope Christmas won't get stuck in a middle of a snow storm like this one. Who knows how much cleaning up we'll have to do?

Yeah. I really am hoping for Mosey and Cloud to find each other again. I can tell he misses him. [She will pet Mosey while the pokemon sits down happily.] He is! He's been making our camp very warm by melting the snow around us and building a fire, too. Mosey has been taking care of us ever since he joined my team. I'm really greatful to have him with me.

If the snow keeps falling like this, we'll have to dig children out of it. It piles up quickly.

That's good. Moving around without a Fire-type would be ill-advised at the moment. I know I would not dare leave Ecruteak if it were not for Flare's presence. It's a shame they cannot help against the wind, though.

Good fortune, Cecil. Though, Firion and I may set out for Goldenrod as well, once the snow has stopped.

The caves and forests will be hard to navigate, even without the storm itself. Would you rather have me open the northern path once I obtain the badge? I have no doubt Squall would also be willing to do so.

It might be easier, but with Zidane traveling back to meet with Dagger, it would be more efficient if I were to travel ahead and obtain my badge as well.

[Besides, waiting around in the city is getting tiring.]

In that case, I might as well go down to Azalea and obtain my third badge quickly. We'd probably end up meeting in that area, unless one of the roads gets blocked.

Hopefully we will be able to meet in Azalea, then.

If it comes down to it, I can send Flare to meet you. He's faster than I am, and his flames can melt the snow.

As long as you do not need his assistance yourself, Cecil. We will manage.

[Except not really, since there's another blizzard on the way. =D]

There is a park on the way to Goldenrod, with a building for visitors. I'll be safe there should the weather get worse.

[If he knew, he'd be transfering Light's Christmas present right now, holiday tradition be damned.]

I do not believe that we will need him, but if we do, I will contact you.

[It would be useful, but oh well.]

Hopefully the Pokégears work even from a cave in the middle of a snowstorm. Their range is impressive, but under those conditions...

[At least he'll be present and warm for another four months?]

Then we will not enter the cave, if it seems that the conditions are about to worsen.

[WoL will be good through any other snowstorms that might happen.]

There is a Pokémon Center near it, is there not? At least you'll have access to a well-supplied building.

[So will Cecil, Squall, Firion and Zidane. Which leaves Bartz and his lack of sleeves.]

I believe so, and once one has made their way through Union Cave, it is only a day's trip to Azalea.

[At least now he has Lenna to look after him.]

And within Union Cave, you need not fear the snow, only the cold. I won't have nearly that much cover, but on the other hand I'll be able to resupply in Goldenrod. I'll bring additional Ice Heals, just in case.

[...Her Dratini will be weak against the cold, too.]

[She giggles a bit.] We just might. I think the snow can easily reach up to my chest now.

That's true. I wouldn't have been able to leave calmly if I didn't have him with me. Whenever I notice he is having a hard time, I return him into my pokeball for a little while. So far, Mosey and Maria have been able to stand the cold a little more.

That makes sense. Mosey is a Fire-type, and Maria has fur, does she not? Their bodies are more adapted to the cold than, say, Rosie's or Esuna's.
