Mirror Match!

Name: Sion Astal
Team: Zoroark (Sable), Pyroar (Ria), Rapidash (Silver), Tyrantrum (Cevey), Milotic (Sea), Arcanine (Fio)
Strategy: Sion will lead with Sable disguised as an arcanine just to get a feel for Cecil's team. If he sees a rapidash, arcanine, or tyrantrum he'll immediately have Sable use U-Turn; if it does solid damage then he'll send out Ria or Silver to blast away with fire-type attacks, but if it reveals Cecil's Zoroark he'll use Sea instead. From there, his plan is to knock out as much of Cecil's team as quickly as possible. Ria and Silver will of course be emphasizing the fire-type attacks, with Silver in particular leading with Flame Charge to up that speed a bit for a bit of an edge, and Megahorn should any of Cecil's have the Flash Fire ability. Sea is there to stall, using Rain Dance to dampen the fire attacks, Aqua Ring and Rest for HP recovery, and Ice Beam when going on the offensive. Sable will make appearances to confuse the matter whenever possible, ideally Sion will try to send him out at a point when he knows he's up against Cecil's zoroark, to try to slip in a STAB-boosted dark type attack there. Should Sable go down, though, Cevey is the backup plan to Crunch that zoroark and maybe Iron Tail the fire types until he goes down.

But Sion's real ace in the hole is Fio. Sion will absolutely emphasize trying to take down Cecil's non-fire types first if at all possible, so as to take advantage of Fio's Flash Fire ability. But that's not all! He knows there's a chance Cecil's arcanine may well have the same ability (or even the rapidash!), so instead, with a little boost from Sunny Day, Fio will be using Solar Beam to take down whatever remains.

Sion will, naturally, have given his team items, most notably Fio will have an Expert Belt to make his super effective attacks hit that much harder, Cevey will have a Razor Claw to up that critical hit ratio, and Sea will have a Life Orb to make up for being otherwise mostly defensive. The others will have plain old versatile Sitrus berries.

Sion plans to see how far he can get with minimal use of items, but he'll still bring along his usual assortment of hyper potions and revives just in case and use them if needed. But if he can pull off his Solar Beam shenanigans without them, then all the better!

Notes: Sion's roster is horribly out of date, Ria would be at level 100 like the others by now! Also, unless you have other plans for Cecil, I was thinking Sion could come by for the match sometime this week--he wanted to do it earlier, but things happened. (Also do you want to just handwave Sion making a friendly visit to the gym from a few months ago? I mean, I'm always happy to backtag, but at this point... XD)

... and yes, Cevey the tyrantrum is named after Cecil, whom Sion acquired the egg from. Sion has a sense of humor about these things sometimes. ;)
