I think they might be less careful because their actions only affect our property, actually. I asked our neighbors, and they feel nothing.

...That make sense, if the attacks only affect their immediate surroundings. [If you ignore how basic physics usually get ignored.] Or else we'd get all sorts of problems from people using Earthquakes and Surfs near houses.

We'd also be able to travel through blizzards without renewing Sunny Day so often, but I can accept that inconvenience if it means my house is not accidentally destroyed by neighboring Pokémon.
