Some of them are. Some of them are more like elementals, like Geodude. Some of them seem like animated objects, like Bronzor. And some are something else. Like Banette.

I'm most sticking with the animals.

My world would consider them all to be surprisingly benevolent monsters instead, but some of them could indeed play the same roles as regular animals. Have you found many equivalents to the species present in your world?

Some of them. Rhyhorn are baby rhinos, Charizard are small dragons, Feraligatr are like those crocodile things I've seen, just on two legs. Onix look like really small wurms, but they're made out of rock. Mamoswine are boars. Ratata are rats, just purple. Zubat are bats. I've seen lots of birds and fish and insects, too, and some moving plants. I haven't seen anything like ragebeasts or maaka or nodorogs. Most things here are pretty small. I haven't seen any signs of anything big yet. There aren't many kinds of people here either. I've only seen humans.

Some of those would be considered monsters in my world, more than any sort of animals... But you do have a point about the people. I hardly expected to see Lunarians around, but you'd think there would at least be a healthy dwarf population, though it's possible that no one has yet digged deeply enough to meet them.

Dwarf? [From the way Cecil's talking he assumes that Cecil means something other than "short people". Ravnica doesn't have any dwarves.]

No elves either. Or ogres. Not even any goblins! Goblins are everywhere! So why doesn't this world have any?

A people with great talent for engineering that live underground, surrounded by lava. I almost expected to see them around Cinnaber, but that was not the case.

Perhaps any local goblin population was hunted down by Pokémon? They'd be weaker than most species, after all.

That's hard to believe. Goblins die easily but they have so many kids that they stay around no matter how many die.
