[Like much of Johto and Kanto, Cecil's backyard has been invaded by a group of angry fossils. Two of them, in fact; a swarm of Cradilies and a band of Omastars have apparently started a war over that tiny piece of land, neither side willing to back down and move elsewhere. Add to that Cecil's team, protecting their home, along with the local Grimers trying to reclaim one of their favorite pond, and you get a very interesting image.

...Or at least you would, if Cecil wasn't busy filming the Lileep and Omanyte pair blissfully snuggling on his roof instead.]

I know we are to defeat or capture as many fossils as we can, but is stopping them all truly necessary? While they are obviously rebelling against their families, those two look harmless at least, and I've no doubt others-

[He has no doubt others are more than willing to use hastily snatched Grimers as ammo against innocent people's faces. Because that's what one of the Cradilies just did. And the damn Grimer doesn't even have the decency to not drip all over the Gear, either.]

...On second thought, we should burn them all.

Heavens, I hope so. It's bad enough when is comes from the pond, having it so close at all times would kill me.

[In her mind, the ones in the yard are an issue. The ones on the roof...less so. Unless they open cans of whoopass on their feuding families, anyway.]

Technically, that would be the Grimers. They're more likely to stay here for a long time.

Smart of you. Those things almost smell worse that Malboros, and they can poison you just as easily.

Tentacled monsters with a main attack that is charmingly called Bad Breath. They make fighting Behemoths and dragons seem almost pleasant.

They've been there for a couple months, haven't they? [if she remembers right, they are.] I'd think the fighting fossils using them as ammo would be the worst problem if you leave them alone for too long.

They have. But at least they seem unhappy with their new role in the fight, which means they might be open to a temporary alliance.

Maybe. I'd take a fighting team anyway. [a glance aside at something, then:] If they're too angry to listen to reason, they may attack you instead of making an alliance. Shouldn't risk taking that on alone.

[Because if one Grimer to the head is bad enough, being buried in them would be even worse.]

We can Psychic them to unconsciousness if needed. Even Fu knows to use his type advantage against them, by now.

None of them are like your tentacle thing. Some of the bigger ones, maybe...

Usually Heartless and Nobodies are small enough. They come in pretty big numbers to make up for it.

That's not any better, if you have no magic or a weapon with little reach. Though fighting as a group does help with that problem.

I was thinking of it, yes. Their families seem... unhappy with their relation, even though they care more about their territory disputes. Living with a friendly, welcoming group would be safer for them.

I certainly have a prehistoric something on the roof. With the way they ran for each other the moment both groups arrived, this has to have started before they died. Unless perfect strangers were expected to cuddle back then.

Yeah, but you can always improvise. I mean, I always fight with my friends by me so I'm never really alone.
