Has anyone else tried to stump the girl? I thought my armor would suffice, but she rose to the challenge admirably.

[Cecil? laughs from where she? sits near Rosie, but does not turn towards the Gear. Cecil? smiles in response, though he? seems slightly embarrassed.]

I should have known better than to bet against a mimic, truly.

It has been indeed. My whole team is well; a few of them were rather tired after our... eventful train ride, but all have now recovered, and those few scratches I sustained are completely gone. What about you?

Ah, were you a part of that chaos as well? Forgive me for not noticing. It was hectic and there were so many there. [ A nod. ] I have been well myself. I have little complaint when it comes to my life here in Johto.

It is rather more peaceful than my world, at least. In fact, I've no doubt it is more peaceful than most.

Indeed. Without a war going on in the background, I have found it to be tranquil.

The lack of men-eating monsters is also always appreciated. They have a way of ruining even times of peace.

That is the sort of world you hail from then? [ Just a curious inquiry. ] It is strange to hear tales of other realms when I have only known my own and one other.

[ Although it was inevitable - eventually Saber will travel from world to world, time from time, all in the name of Gaia. ]

It is. Monsters are everywhere, though the ones in my kingdom are thankfully relatively weak. You could say that the idea of fighting the local creatures was quite familiar to me.

That is the sort of life I wish for others to not have to lead. A life where one must fight for their life and those of their loved ones.. no, people should be able to enjoy themselves.

Many in my world share that wish. However, while we must always battle monsters, all of our kingdoms and cities have been at piece for nearly two decades. By working together, we come very close to reaching that goal.

It sounds almost as though your land has reached Avalon. An unity between kingdoms is impossible in most realms. Impressive if anything to know that such an evil thing of the world could unite so many people together.

It was a great evil indeed, one with powers and technology beyond anything on our planet. It took everything we had to fight back. When people must choose between working together and being slaughtered or enslaved, unity is the simplest solution.

That it is. I am almost envious of the union myself.

Do not be. All the settlements in the world were nearly destroyed twice to attain it. And as it is also based on personal friendships, it could quite easily not outlive the current rulers or the next generation.
