Would you like an item? Or would you prefer a Pokémon? I admit, this is my first Christmas, so I'm not quite certain how it's supposed to work, other than the gift-giving. Do I give it to you on a certain day? Is the gift a mutual decision, or a surprise just like for birthdays?
