9th moon [video]

[The only thing that can be seen at first is the strong light of an evolution. The strong light of two evolutions, actually. The brand new Clefairy and the brand new Banette stare at each other for a few seconds, before looking at the Pokégear.]

Fairy?

Banette?

[The answer to their question comes hesitantly.]

...You started evolving at the same time, and finished at the same time. I believe this is a draw.

[Wrong answer, Cecil. The moment they hear the word 'draw', Rosie and Avenger start arguing.]

Faifairy? Clefclefairy clefairy fairy!

Banban nette banette ban nettette!

Clefairy fairy!

Nette banette!

...I suppose evolving did not change you much, then. [He sighs and turns the Pokégear off.]

Oh, my. Your Pokemon certainly get along, don't they?

How sweet. Have you done nothing to remedy this?

I can imagine. Proper discipline can break them of such things, you know.

Oh. Dear. Are they always like this?

Marianne is an absolute sweetheart; she really seems to have taken a liking to David.

[For some strange reason, their arguing vaguely reminds her of the arguments that happen between her family]

They're certainly enjoy arguing.

Ah, so it is the legendary sibling rivalry that drives those two?

I think David and Marianne will become great friends in time, so long as they don't develop a taste for each other's food.

I doubt they'll find much interest in each other's meals, but I'll watch for it. Marianne is very possessive of her food.

It's a rather odd way to show they care. [Says the girl who has the same relationship with some of her "siblings"]

Hmm, what the name of the black one~ It's rather cute ♥

All of her food, but especially with the sweet meats I've been feeding her. She needs the protein, though; she's always getting into fights, rambunctious little thing.

[Flatly]

Then that is where your error lies. Spoiling them can fuel that rivalry.

She's constantly getting into scraps with wild pokemon and random trainer's pokemon at my work place. But I can't blame her; she's rather like me when I was her age, constantly going about and getting into trouble. She's able to spin fire now, too. It's gorgeous.

If they make a habit of it. They may excel now, but if you think of the future...
