[The feed shows Sprout Tower. A very pixellated Sprout Tower. A very lopsided Sprout Tower. Almost as if the Pokégear was being held by a very limp hand.]

This is not quite what I expected when I decided to take a walk this morning.

Good question. Excellent question. But no, pretty sure we're all wide awake.

...On the one hand, knowing that those strange monsters are no dreams fills me with dread.

On the other hand, I walked from Cherrygrove to Violet in a few hours instead of a week. This... strangeness is quite efficient.

Efficient's good. And I've seen worse monsters before.

Though how these walk when they're by all accounts pixels and bones is anyone's guess.

So have I, but never without my sword or my powers.

A few people mentioned a link between this world and a 'videogame'. Could that explain it?

What worries me the most is the changes in our Pokémon. How could those little squares make them lose their personalities? Will they... will they ever go back to normal?

I've got all the experience of several worlds. Bit behind on videogames, though.

They simply do not exist in my world, so I'm afraid I can be of very little help there.

I'm afraid I do not know. But it might have something to do with those abominations in the grass.

That sounds extremely worrying. Can such cracks be repaired?

No idea. Doesn't matter right now, I'd focus on the word turning all square.

But how would they cause this to the entire region? It looks like Violet City is not the only place effected.
